Roddy
Roddy "Micheal' Reid, 70, died peacefully at home with his family on Aug. 15, 2019. He was born in Greenville, Mississippi on May 15, 1949.
He graduated from Marshall High School and enlisted in the United States Navy. He later graduated from East Texas State University with a degree in business and criminology. He married Glenda Hooten in 1982. The young couple moved to Rockwall where he pursued his career in homebuilding and construction. They attended Lake Pointe Church where he led a men's accountability group most of his adult life.
Mike was proceeded in heaven by his parents Roy and Thelma Reid, his brother Dennis Reid and his brother-in-law Rick Riddle. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 38 years, Glenda Reid, his children Damon and Michelle Reid; granddaughter Jordan Reid; Dustin Reid, Dylan and Sarah Reid.
Mike believed in sharing his faith, developing deep and lasting relationships with people, helping those in need, building quality homes with integrity, and loving his family with great joy.
Family and friends gathered for a memorial service on Friday, Aug. 23. It was a beautiful celebration of Mike's life - a life well lived.
He will be greatly missed by his many friends in the Rockwall community.
