Rockwall, TX - Donald William Sarver, aged 85, passed away on October 23, 2024, in Houston, Texas. Born on July 29, 1939 in Kansas City, Missouri, Donald dedicated 50 years to a successful career in medical and industrial sales before retiring in 2012.
A devout Christian, Don was actively involved in Prairie Creek Baptist Church and Lakepointe Church, embodying the spirit of service, community, and his faith in Jesus Christ. Early in life, Don pursued higher education at the University of Missouri where he was a Four Year Letterman for the Tigers Men's Basketball Team coached by legendary head coach Norm Stewart.
Don was a passionate outdoorsman, with a particular zeal for hunting, fishing, and sports, including basketball, baseball, and golf. His love for the outdoors was matched by his devotion to his family and friends. He especially enjoyed vacationing in Florida, walking with friends and family at Lakepointe Church, and attending his grand children's school and athletic events.
He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Sarver; brother Danny Sarver, sons (from a previous marriage) Paul and Donnie Sarver; step-children, Carter Drake, Sondra Weber, Robyn Abramczyk, Lane Seaman, and Angie Seaman; and grandchildren Sam, Connor, Kaylee, Kaden, Carcyn, Corbin, Corinne, Asher, Alexa, Judah, Lane, Cami and Ainsley. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Carmen and Donald Heister Sarver.
Services will be held on November 16, 2024, at 12:00 pm at Rest Haven Funeral Home in Rockwall, Texas, where family, friends, and those touched by Donald's life can come together to honor his memory.
