Rockwall, TX - Dixie Lee Kastle, a beacon of wisdom and kindness, passed away on April 28, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on January 29, 1937, in McLoud, OK, Dixie's life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and service, woven with the threads of family, work, and community.

Dixie's journey began as the beloved daughter of Lena Mae and Heman, and she grew up alongside her siblings Barbara, Susan, and Jim, who preceded her in death. Her life was a testament to the love she had for her family, and she carried that love into her own marriage with her devoted husband, Loris L. Kastle. Together, they built a life full of joy and cherished moments. As a mother, Dixie's heart was boundless. She nurtured her children—Susan and her husband Yannick, Brian, and Sherry—with unwavering affection and gentle guidance. Her role as a grandmother to Teo and Blair was one of her greatest joys, as she imparted wisdom and love that will resonate through generations. She is also survived by her sister, Marion Branum and husband Gene. Professionally, Dixie's work ethic and integrity shone brightly at Comerica Bank and Safeway Trucking Division. Her colleagues respected her for her dedication and her ability to bring warmth and kindness into the workplace. Dixie's involvement in her professional associations was marked by the same level of commitment and care she gave to every aspect of her life. Dixie's interests were a reflection of her nurturing spirit. She found solace and joy in tending to her plants, indulging in the growth and beauty of nature that mirrored her own growth in life. Her love for her children and grandchildren was evident in every action and word, as she fostered a home where wisdom and kindness were the pillars. Dixie's passion for word puzzles and reading kept her mind sharp and her conversation rich, making her company a treasure for those who knew her. Dixie had a strong faith in God and cherished her spiritual friendships at Saturn Road Church of Christ for over 60 years. A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00am Friday, May 2, 2025 at Reflections- Rest Haven Rockwall.
