Sally May (Rose) Pines, 75, a resident of Rockwall for 21 years, passed away Dec. 29, 2015.
She was born June 9, 1940, in Zanesville, Ohio, to Francis and Margaret (Barr) Rose. Mrs. Pines was a member of First United Methodist Church in Rockwall. Sally was a vibrant member of the Lakeside Village golf community and a constant and visible supporter of the Food Pantry at Helping Hands. For the past 10 years, Sally could be found stocking shelves and filling orders for those in need.
She is survived by her sons, Tod and Trent Pines; grandchildren Tyler Christian Pines, Quaid Jackson Pines, Kaiden Archer Pines, Finnley Crosby Pines, Ashleigh Nicole Broda, and Lindsay Marie Erdmann; great-granddaughter Paiton Marie Broda; and two sisters, Sandy Bartos and Susan Dorr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Pines, and their best friends, Pugsley and Pugster.
Her memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at First United Methodist Church in Rockwall, 1200 E. Yellow Jacket Ln., Rockwall, TX 75087, with Pastor Joe Pool officiating. A reception will be held following the memorial at the Lakeside Village Community Center.
