Peggy Fellers Moore passed away Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at the age of 85 in Rockwall with her family at her side.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Aubrey Hardin and M.L. Eddie Moore; her parents, William Roy Fellers and Anna Aughtry Fellers; and sister Nancy Kay Smith.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret Ann and Ray Robberson of Heath; Rick Moore and partner John Dornheim of Mesquite; sisters Vicki Fellers and Judy Lawler of Lubbock; grandchildren Marsha Rodgers and husband Ron of Rockwall and Brandi Johnson and husband Greg of Frisco; and great-grandchildren Cody and Hannah Johnson, also of Frisco.
Peggy was born in Spring Creek, Texas, July 1, 1928, and grew up in the Gainesville area. She spent most of her adult life in Lovington, N.M. She was a founding and charter member of the Lea County Genealogical Society, an avid fisherwoman, and a prize-winning organic gardener. Additionally, Peggy enjoyed playing cards and games, and working puzzles. Her vacation home in Cloudcroft, N.M., was her sanctuary, and she adored watching the wildlife both there and at her home in Rockwall. Peggy was happiest enjoying time with her family, and she will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
A celebration of Peggy’s life was held at 1 p.m., Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel.
