Paula Kay Russell Cook, 67, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Oct. 19, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. D.B. and Dorothy Russell; in-laws Clyde and Fodie Mae Cook; and two nephews, George Russell Jett and Tobie Goldman.
Paula is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jimmie Charles Cook of Rockwall; two daughters, Dani Cook and Casey Cook; two sons, David Cook and Michael Cook and wife Aysha; seven grandchildren whom she loved very much, Dylan, Blake, Alex, Collin, Zachary, Nicholas, and Karistan; a brother, Richie and wife Barbara; two sisters, Danna Jett and husband George and Cindy Gayle Russell.
Family and friends will miss her dearly. Paula was a quick wit and a bright light and if she loved someone, they knew it. Her family says, “We will miss you, but what a great reunion is going on in Heaven. Praise God!”
Paula requested a celebration rather than a traditional service. The family will be gathering with friends and loved ones at the home of Paula’s older daughter Dani Cook in Rockwall on Nov. 2 at 5 p.m. for a celebration of her life.
The family requests donations in lieu of flowers be made in Paula’s memory to the American Heart Association.
