Mildred S. Nalls, 86, passed away Aug. 23, 2017.
She was born April 28, 1931, in Royse City, Texas, to Henry and Erlean (Monk) Sherrill. Mildred graduated from Royse City High School and was a longtime resident of Rockwall, Texas, and a member of First Baptist Church in Rockwall. She was a devoted wife and mother, but her grandkids were her passion. Following the birth of the first one, Mildred truly blossomed in her new role. She cared for, doted upon and cherished each of them, and at "Nana's House " they could do no wrong. Her love and influence lives on in them.
Mildred is survived by her son, Randy Nalls and wife Shana; grandchildren Kendall, Laurel and Holden Nalls; and sisters Chrystean Morgan and Barbara Smith and husband Elwood.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Nalls; daughter Karen Nalls Wylie; brothers Ivan and Curtis; and sisters Dorothy, Mary and Carolyn.
Funeral service was held 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 27, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel with Pastor Jesse Crouch officiating. Interment followed in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
