Marcia's Story

Text size

Marcia Jane Beckley Warwick was born in Lincoln, Neb., on March 5, 1930. She was raised in York, Neb., and loved her town. She had many friends and kept in touch with them her whole life.
She passed away April 24, 2015, after an unscheduled hospital visit and two surgeries.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her brother, Alan; and her parents. She leaves behind her children, Holly Stephens and husband Ken and Bill Warwick and wife Darlene; her grandchildren, Kendall and Michael Stephens, Stephanie LaPlante and Alex Sexton; and three great-grandchildren.
Growing up, Marcia was an Army brat. Then she became an Air Force wife. She followed her husband all over Bermuda and the U.S., leaving a trail of lifelong friends. The last two years, she had resided in Rockwall to be closer to her daughter. Prior to that, she spent 22 years in Hideaway, Texas.
She loved to travel and was always up for a party. The New Year’s Eve party was always at her house! She was so full of life!
Her memorial service will be June 19 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Rockwall. Her final resting place will be in her family plot in York, Neb.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Father Flanagan’s Boys Town in Nebraska, or to a favorite charity.
