Lorraine Mary Glover, 87, a resident of Rockwall for 15 years, passed away Jan. 11, 2017. She was born Oct. 4, 1929, in Canada to Gordon M. Birse and Mabel (Meyers) Birse.
Mrs. Glover worked in education administration until her retirement. She and her late husband were very active in First Presbyterian Church of Rockwall and the Newcomers Club. Her hobbies included playing bridge, knitting, reading and she loved the outdoors, especially the ocean and the beach. Mrs. Glover loved her sweet dogs, Stormy and Indy.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan McRitchie and Cathy Chandler and husband Brian; son, John Glover; grandchildren, Candice Gordon and husband Josh, Jared Chandler, Jimmie Phillips, Alexandra Chandler and Savannah Glover; and great-granddaughter: Winter Rose Gordon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Norman Earl Glover.
Private services will be held.
