TULIA, Texas — Lisa Renee Evans, 51, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016, in Lubbock. Her funeral service was held at 2 p.m., June 18, in the Tulia Christian Fellowship Church with Rev. Rusty Gray officiating.
Visitation was from 6 to 7 p.m., June 17, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.
Lisa was born Aug. 22, 1964, in Rockwall, Texas, to Denis and Jean Tanner. She graduated from Rockwall High School in 1982. She earned her CNA license in the 1980s and started working as a nurse. She worked at Highland Elementary as a teacher's aide and a computer teacher. She renewed her CNA license and started working as a nurse again.
She loved the Dallas Cowboys and was a fan of George Strait and Elvis Presley. She was a member at Tulia Christian Fellowship. Lisa enjoyed going to the Tulia High School games and was the biggest fan of Kami and Abigale.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kameron Grace Evans and Abigale Kay Evans, both of Tulia; one stepbrother, Sam Hayworth of Rockwall; one stepsister, Amy Hayworth of Rockwall; and several cousins, aunts and uncles.
