A memorial service for Larry Raymond White, 73, will be held Saturday, May 16, at 2 p.m. at the Green Pond Baptist Church in Como.
Mr. White died on May 9, 2015, in Tyler.
He was born on Jan. 13, 1942, to George and Maude White of Rockwall, where he was raised.
He was a carpenter by trade, and owned L.R. White Construction. He also loved fishing with his family and friends, and was one-half of the great White & White Crappie Fishing Team.  Other interests of his were playing dominoes, cards and bingo; and he loved telling great jokes.  
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Betty Sue White; his sister, Kathryn Davis; a brother, Timothy White; several sisters-in law; daughter Sherry (White) Hargrove and husband Leon of Emory; daughter Kimberly (White) Sutton and fiancé Gary Terry of Wylie; daughter Kathryn (White) Byers and husband Curtis of Quitman; son Larry Dale White and wife Jennifer of Kilgore; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren with one more on the way and many, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Junior White, Ralph White, Billy Jack White, David White and Jerry White; a brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law.
He loved his family and friends, and he will be missed by everyone who knew him. The crappie are surely breathing a sigh of relief….
