Jean Brackeen Forbes of Rockwall, formerly of Cooper, Texas, was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on Oct. 13, 2016, after 96 inspirational years. She also joined her parents, Clyde and Vera Brackeen, her husband, Harry Forbes, and her brother, Billy Brackeen, in Heaven.
Her family was always very important to her and all stayed close to her in Texas. She will be greatly missed at the monthly family gatherings by her sister, Betty and Buddy Foster; her four children, "The Team," Harry C. Jr. "Skip" and Diane Forbes, Jerry and Steve Fisher, Kenny and Cindy Forbes and Karen and Pat West; her seven grandchildren, Chris and Heather Forbes, Michelle and Dusty Watson, Kim and Scott Wizeman, Drs. Kevin and Jordan West, Amanda and Rex Anderson, Eric West, and 1st Lt. Nicolas Forbes; her nine great-grandchildren, Jacob, Michael, Leah, Kylie, Grayson, Reese, Noah, McKalynne Jean, and Sloane; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as many good friends, including her best friend, Barbara Size, and her beloved dog, Rosebud.
The legacy that Jean left was to "Keep the Lord first and then family" and to live your life as a witness for Him, a life filled with unconditional love, amazing grace, and overwhelming joy. Jean loved to have fun and had a zest for living life to the fullest. She laughed all the time showing off her beautiful, radiant smile. She was always dancing, whether there was music or not.
Jean/Momma/Memaw will forever be missed but will never be forgotten.
