Jean Marie Dawson, 83, of Royse City passed away Nov. 24, 2011.  
She was born Feb. 4, 1928, in Corbin, Ky.  Jean had worked as a PBX operator for Neiman-Marcus.  She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Jean is survived by her husband, Tommy Dawson of Royse City; children Jan Smith and husband David of Lake City, Colo., Denise Sherman of Fate, Don Dawson of Ft. Worth, and Kim Philp and husband Mark of Keller; grandchildren Tricia Hartman and husband Jay of Montrose, Colo., Tami McKeon and husband Dan of Garland, Stephen Smith and fiancée Amy Zwizler of Flagstaff, Ariz., Mendy Archer and husband Lance of Frisco, Kerry Peacock and wife Alicia of Lewisville, Rebecca Sherman of Fate, Rose Grubbs of Scott Air Force Base in Illinois, Maria Jean Dawson of Lewisville, Jonathan Dawson Philp of Keller, and Jacob Philp of Keller; and 11 great-grandchildren.  
She was preceded in death by her mother, Flossie W. (Billie) Worley.
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m., Nov. 28, 2011, at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall Chapel with Rev. D. Timothy Thompson officiating.  Inurnment followed in Good Shepherd Catholic Community Church Columbarium.
