Harry A. Bell, 85, a 42 year resident of Rockwall, passed away Nov. 11, 2016. He was born June 11, 1931, in St. Francesville, Illinois, to Howard Ezra Bell and Corrine Anna (Trotter) Bell.
Harry's passion was his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and he retired from First Christian Church of Royse City where he was a minister. He had a love for all animals and was the hospital administrator for the Animal Hospital of Rowlett. A friendly man, Harry didn't know a stranger and always knew the right thing to say. He was a jokester and enjoyed painting, photography and HAM radio. Harry was known for always saying, "Merry Christmas" no matter the time of the year. He loved his family dearly, especially his wife, Carolyn.
Harry is survived by his loving wife Carolyn Bell; son Artie Bell and wife Patti; grandchildren, Brandon Bell and wife Misty, Brent Bell, Erica Grandy and husband Ryan, Joy Alfieri and husband Domenic, Brittani Bell and fiancé Tim Landy and Codi Bee and husband Phillip; great grandchildren, Anna Bell, Carmella Alfieri, Carmine Alfieri, Giulliana Alfieri, Marcello Alfieri, Amya Bee and Andi Bee; and sisters, Georgeann Bell, Inez Waddle and Alice Metcalf. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Robert Andrew Bell.
Funeral services were held at Rest Haven Funeral Home — Rockwall Chapel on Tuesday, Nov. 15., followed with interment at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
