Frankie Owens
QUINLAN — Frankie Owens was born Dec. 19, 1945, in Monahans. He passed away peacefully at home March 25, 2011, following a very long battle with cancer.
He enlisted in the army and was a member of the 101st airborne division during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, yard work and playing with his grandson. He really enjoyed working for FFE.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son Brian Alan Owens. 
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Betty; daughter and son-in-law Tracey and Laurent Jaffart and grandson Ian Thames, all of Munich, Germany; sisters and brothers-in law Bonnie and Bill Sparks of Lawton, Okla., and Linda K. and Bob Ayers of Midlothian; his mother-in-law, Sarah Whaley of Lake Jackson; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Wright of Peggy; nephews Billy Sparks of McKinney, Tim Sparks and family of Ft. Worth, David Ayers and family of Midlothian and Aaron Wright of Corpus Christi; and nieces Tammy Bradford and family of Midlothian and Sandy Hunt and family of Grapevine; and Diane Wisdom, a very special family friend.
A memorial service will be held on April 22, 2011, at 10 a.m. in the Chapel At Lakepoint Church in Rockwall.
