Dorothy C. Kiesler of Rowlett passed away May 5, 2012, at the age of 83.
She was a beauty consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics. Dorothy was very active in the development of the city of Rowlett, serving on the Rowlett Women’s Club and as the first woman on the Rowlett City Council. She was also a founding member of the Friends of the Library of Rowlett.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, Richard Terry Kiesler of Gulf Shores, Ala., and Chris Alan Kiesler of Rowlett; a daughter, Malinda Louise Kiesler Magel of Danville, Calif.; grandchildren Desiree Nicole Kiesler and Robert Hawdon Magel III; a stepgrandson, Jerome Coloma; and stepgreat-grandson Adon Coloma.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence A. Kiesler, and sister Mary Beth Swackhamer.
There will be a “Celebration of Dorothy Kiesler” from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday at Zanata Restaurant, 202 East Rusk, Rockwall Texas 75087. Burial will be in McKinney on Friday.
