Colten Dwayne Carney, 24, of Rockwall, Texas, passed away Jan. 30, 2017.
He was born June 13, 1992, in Dallas, Texas, to Ollin Dwayne Carney Jr.
and Michaelle Renee Robertson. Colten graduated from Rockwall Heath High School in 2011, and worked for Rockwell American in Royse City. He was a member of Eastridge Church of Christ.
Colten is survived by his parents, Dwayne and Michaelle Carney of Royse City, Texas; sisters Tori Carney and Nina Goodman; grandparents Glenn and Helen Robertson of Tyler, Texas, and Ollin and Reba Carney of Rowlett, Texas; uncle Brent Robertson and wife Alicia; an aunt, Dlisa Carney; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, J.W. and Dorothy Loveless, Arvol and Frankie Carney, Willie and Hattie Schneider and Buck and Bennie Robertson.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 3, at Eastridge Church of Christ, 670 N. Stodghill Road, Rockwall, TX 75087 with Mr.
Jeff Brooks and Mr. Joey Wrape officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel which is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Colten Dwayne Carney's GoFundMe account, which will go toward a scholarship in his honor.
