Cody Price Connally, 22, of Rockwall, Texas, previously of Garland, Texas, passed away Dec. 6, 2017.
He was born Sept. 23, 1995, in Plano, Texas, to Bryan D. and Shawn (Hughes) Connally. Cody was an avid reader and had a perfect memory. He was exceptionally skilled at chess and never lost a game. He studied at Eastfield and El Centro Community Colleges and became an IT manager for CBG Surveying, Inc. Cody was an extraordinary video game player and even played online internationally with others. He was particularly talented at League of Legends, a fast paced and competitive multi-player online battle game. He quickly achieved the Master Tier, which is extremely exclusive and challenging. Cody also enjoyed playing cards and dominoes, especially the game of 42. An exceedingly loyal young man, Cody loved his friends and family, and he will be missed immensely.
Cody is survived by his mother, Shawn Connally; father Bryan Connally and Jennifer Gary; brothers Trey Douglas Connally and fiancée Haley Ream, Taylor McGee, Hunter Donaldson and Cayden Donaldson; a little niece or nephew on the way; grandparents Gloria Johnson, Linda Connally and Joe and Donette Hughes; great-grandmother Mary "Granny" Sumrow; uncles Josh Connally and wife Jennifer and Corey Connally; an aunt, Brande Smith and husband Aaron; cousins Glen Smith, Trent Smith and Hunter Connally; best friend Wesley Vaughn; and kitties Skinny Mini and Fat Matt; along with numerous cousins, aunt, uncles and a host of loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Doug Connally and Dale Johnson; great-grandmother Faye Bynum; an aunt, Corkey Brigance; and best friend Gavin Silver.
Funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at Rest Haven Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 12 p.m.
