Barbara White Hille, 86, passed away Sept. 28, 2017, surrounded by family.
She was born Sept. 8, 1931, in Manchester, Conn., to Montague and Rachel Niles (Boutwell) White. She is a graduate of Windham High School in Willimantic, Conn., and Larson College, now Quinnipiac University, in Hamden, Conn. Bobbie worked as a lab technician before marrying Robert Arthur Hille on Nov. 20, 1954, and taking on the full-time duties of an Army wife. During the 24 years that Bobbie followed Bob around the country and the world to his various duty stations, they had five children, all born in different states. Following Bob's retirement from the service in 1978, they relocated to Dallas when Bob became a part of Baylor University Medical Center. In 1993, looking ahead to retirement, they finally settled in Heath. Through all the transitions in their almost 63 years together, Bobbie's focus in life was loving and caring for her husband, her family, and her friends. Bobbie will be dearly missed.
Bobbie is survived by her loving husband, Bob Hille of Heath; children Rick Hille and wife Liz of San Marcos, Texas, Lyn Allen and husband Don of Lockhart, Texas, David Hille and wife Karen Fling of Dallas, Texas, Tom Hille and wife Cathy of Claremont, Calif., and Cathy Wicker and husband Jeff of Heath; grandchildren Ryan, Ashley, Jenna, Anneliese, Ian, Gabriel, Shan Shan, Logan, Grady, Rylee, and Dyson; great-grandchildren Noah and Blake; sister Sandy Staebner and husband Ernie of Franklin, Conn.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson Drew Hille.
A celebration of life will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 4, at Rest Haven Funeral Home - Rockwall Chapel, 2500 State Highway 66 East, Rockwall, Texas.
