Robert “Rob” Wayne Ramage, 68, of Royse City for 29 years, passed away Dec. 10, 2015.
He was born Nov. 5, 1947, in Princeton, Ky., to Robert Benjamin Ramage and Dorothy Elizabeth (Beaver) Ramage. Mr. Ramage was a security officer and was of the Christian faith. He was very family-oriented and had a heart for caring for animals, especially rescues. Mr. Ramage was a wonderful artist and loved drawing caricatures and animals, as well as working on his wood-burning projects. He loved to collect rocks and travel, and often combined the two hobbies, even asking friends who traveled to bring rocks back to him. He was married to Diane for more than 40 years, and their trip to Austria for their 25th anniversary was the trip of a lifetime.
Mr. Ramage is survived by his wife, Diane Ramage; son Michael Wayne Ramage; daughter Elizabeth Suzanne Brice and husband Ben; grandchildren Jessie Taylor Vantreese, Benjamin Nateo Brice and Brandon Alexander Brice; a sister, Linda Sue Ramage; and his special puppy friends, Buddy and Penny.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating.
